What is Guy Care Service (GCS)?

What types of services do we offer?

How do I request care services?
You can easily request care services by contacting our team either through phone or email. We will guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
Are your caregivers trained and certified?
Yes, all our caregivers undergo rigorous training and are certified in their respective fields. We prioritize the safety and well-being of our clients by ensuring our caregivers are qualified and competent.
Our Direct Support Professionals are trained in various specialties including but not limited to, diabetes education, therapeutic aggression control techniques (TACT2), CPI, first aid, medication administration & more.
What is a person-centered approach?
Our person-centered approach focuses on meeting the unique needs and preferences of each individual we serve.
What Evidence Based Practices do we use?
At GCS, we utilize the following Evidence Based Practices to inform all of our services.
- Trauma-informed Care
- Trust-Based Relational Intervention (Model)
- Motivational Interviewing (Evidence-informed)
- Cognitive Behavior-Informed Skill Building (CBT-Informed)
All direct care and supervisory staff receive training in trauma-informed care principles including safety, trust, empowerment, choice, and collaboration.
What is our Governance?
Guy Care Service will ensure that all staff complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
Guy Care Service will ensure that the agency/ services is administered and operated in accordance with our written policies and procedures.
Guy Care Service owner and director will exercise general direction over the agency and establish policies governing the operation of the agency and the welfare of the persons supported. Guy Care Service owner is the designated individual responsible for the operation of our Department of Disability and Aging (DDA) formerly the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disability (DIDD) along with Department of Children Services (DCS) programs.
Guy Care Service will ensure that our agency serves only persons whose placement will not cause a violation of its licensed status and capacity based on the distinct licensure category, the life safety occupancy classification, and the required staffing ratios, if any.
What is not allowed by any Governing body?
No member of the governing body, administration, or staff will not encourage or persuade any person to name someone affiliated with the agency as beneficiary in a will, trust, or life insurance policy. The governing body will investigate gifts and the circumstances to confirm it was voluntary and not coerced. If the gift is not voluntary, law enforcement and legal representatives will be contacted on behalf of person. The governing body will ensure that no member of the body will take out or secure a life insurance policy on a current or former person. Should our executive director not be available to act in the authority or role in managing the daily operations of our facility or services, the owner will step in as the acting authority in the director’s absence, if necessary.
